Before you begin

A staffing submission and permission to record work.

Step by step#

  1. Open Work log

Record work against the submission where it belongs. Do not measure only the time spent reading the report.

  2. Choose the activity

Use setup, invitation, follow_up, review, correction, preparation, export, support or product_error to describe the work.

  3. Record minutes and a useful note

Enter the actual time and enough context to understand it. The form accepts fractions of a minute; do not place unnecessary candidate information in the note.

  4. Review the total

Check Total recorded work and use the complete workflow when comparing with your previous process or a simple form.

An honest pilot measurement#

Include interruptions, corrections, support and later questions. A good-looking submission does not by itself show that the process saved time. Incomplete participation and technical failures still belong in the evaluation.

The pilot has too little data#

Record that limitation. Do not infer success from a handful of favorable examples or exclude non-participants from the operational picture.
