| Job / assignment | The role and its requirements; staffing uses a concrete assignment reference |
| Criteria version | The confirmed requirements snapshot associated with an interview |
| Core question | A planned question intended to make interviews comparable |
| Evidence | A source-linked statement that can be inspected in its original context |
| Self-report | Something the candidate said; not independently verified by its presence in VANTA |
| Report | A standard interview assessment with requirement-level evidence |
| Submission | The staffing presentation of five facts, gaps and recruiter assessment |
| Revision | A saved version of a staffing submission |
| Approval | A recruiter’s attestation for a particular saved revision |
| Usability | Whether a staffing report meets the information and quality rules, independent of suitability |
| Technical gap | Missing information caused by a product or recording problem |
| Remedy | The recorded correction, replacement or refund handling for a product issue |
| Reservation | Interview capacity held before it is consumed |
| Synthetic example | Invented learning data, not an actual candidate or verified customer result |
Name the record, then the action#
Saying “approve the submission” is more precise than “approve the candidate.” It identifies the review you performed without implying a hiring decision.
